"Happiness is your birthright.
Serving others is the way to realize it"
General Manager & Executive Baker form 2012-2018
Known for a laugh heard down the block, Lucy could usually be found baking to reggaeton or trying to crack a quick joke between drink orders. She believes in recognizing the humanity of others, systemic change, and being part of the greater good. She spends her time volunteering for 350PDX, a local climate change organization, biking, and reading about economics or urban planning.
Lucy leaves the Dragonfly to pursue her dreams of making a difference in the world. She will forge a career aligned with her devotion to environmental and social justice and work diligently where her unparalleled skills, work ethic, and intelligence will truly be put to proper use. Thanks to LW, The Dragonfly is a happier, healthier, and more organized place than it was before she rode up on her bike that first day to apply for a job, and I said to myself "there's our girl" before she crossed the threshold. She has that kind of Shine. I am so grateful to Lucy for sharing her incredible talents, wit, and intelligence over the years. Truly, she created a "greater good" that rippled throughout the House and out to our community. So I cannot bear to remove this "Staff" block from this page. This spot is retired in honor of all she has done for The Dragonfly. You will be missed by all. ~ ET
Barista and Baker
Originally from Santa Barbara, Josh enjoys classic film, playing music, photography, creative writing, and spending time in the stillness of nature. When not making coffee, he spends most of his time camping or antique collecting with his lovely wife Olivia.
“Through our eyes, the universe is perceiving itself. Through our ears, the universe is listening to its harmonies. We are the witnesses through which the universe becomes conscious of its magnificence.”
“If the world were merely seductive, that would be easy. If it were merely challenging, that would be no problem. But I arise in the morning torn between a desire to improve the world and a desire to enjoy the world. This makes it hard to plan the day.” -E.B. White
"I'm Zoe and I like to travel, learn things, read about what's going on in the world, pet dogs, make coffee, drink coffee, and take on more hobbies than I have time for... I have a degree in Political Science, and I'm currently studying graphic design. 3 unnecessary facts about me: I only know one joke, I talk to my plants, and I hate wearing shoes."
Erin is an artist and crafter from New Mexico (with specialties in painting and knitting). She has been a barista for a couple years now and loves practicing her latte art (so get a cup for here and stay a while!). Despite only residing in Oregon for a little over a year, she really loves it here, is very happy to be in Portland, and feels fortunate to have found a place at the Dragonfly. When not at work, Erin is either working on one of her many art/craft projects, watching a movie with her cat, exploring Oregon, or grabbing a beer with friends.

This neighborhood has shown up for us since 2005 with their support, loyalty and Friendship. I am beyond grateful! I can honestly say, after all these years, I still wake up at Oh-dark-thirty excited to get the coffee on and pastries in the oven; My friends are coming over!
I want to take this opportunity to tell everyone how much my crew means to me and contributes to the quality of all that we do at The Dragonfly. So many people have joined me on this ride over the years. Each has contributed to not only the growth of the business, but to my own growth as a person and proprietor. I am indebted to them all. And as for the current core crew: They are each remarkable individuals whom I feel honored to work beside.
Dear Customers, There are so many amazing Coffee Houses here in Portland for you to choose from. I am truly honored that you choose The Dragonfly. .
