"Happiness is your birthright.
Serving others is the way to realize it"
General Manager & Executive Baker
Known for a laugh heard down the block, Lucy can usually be found baking to reggaeton or trying to crack a quick joke between drink orders. She believes in recognizing the humanity of others, systemic change, and being part of the greater good. When not at The Dragonfly, she spends her time volunteering for 350PDX, a local climate change organization, biking, and reading about economics or urban planning.
I am a musician, film buff, and zen enthusiast. I enjoy meeting new people, spending time in nature, collecting antiques, and hanging with my dog Skip. My favorite movies are 2001 and eternal sunshine of the spotless mind.
“If the world were merely seductive, that would be easy. If it were merely challenging, that would be no problem. But I arise in the morning torn between a desire to improve the world and a desire to enjoy the world. This makes it hard to plan the day.” -E.B. White
"I'm Zoe and I like to travel, learn things, read about what's going on in the world, pet dogs, make coffee, drink coffee, and take on more hobbies than I have time for... I have a degree in Political Science, and I'm currently studying graphic design. 3 unnecessary facts about me: I only know one joke, I talk to my plants, and I hate wearing shoes."
"I'm so lucky to I find myself working along side my wonderful coworkers at the Dragonfly serving the best customers in Portland! When I'm not at work or teaching yoga, I most often find myself wandering around. It doesn't sound like much but it's kind of my thing...well, if I'm being completely honest, I actually spend most of my time looking at property listings. No, I'm not in the market to buy a house in London, Rome, Tangier, Bruges or Stockholm but I HAVE to figure out the floor plan by studying all the photos and I HAVE to be a creep and go up and down all the streets surrounding the house on Google maps to figure out lighting and walking proximity to the closest coffee shop. I find setting priorities for my fictional house in a city of which I am not a resident is a great use of my time."
Erin is an artist and crafter from New Mexico (with specialties in painting and knitting). She has been a barista for a couple years now and loves practicing her latte art (so get a cup for here and stay a while!). Despite only residing in Oregon for a little over a year, she really loves it here, is very happy to be in Portland, and feels fortunate to have found a place at the Dragonfly. When not at work, Erin is either working on one of her many art/craft projects, watching a movie with her cat, exploring Oregon, or grabbing a beer with friends.

Wow, it’s been 12 years now and it feels like a minute. It’s true what they say, “time flies when you’re having fun!” This neighborhood has shown up for us since 2005 with their support, loyalty and Friendship. I am beyond grateful for the job they allow me to do by simply asking me “can I get a cup of coffee?” I can honestly say after all these years, that I still wake up excited to get the coffee brewing and the pastries in the oven; My friends are coming over!
I want to take this opportunity to tell everyone how much my crew means to me and contributes to the quality of all that we do. I could NOT do this without them. They are each remarkable individuals whom I feel honored to work beside. And here, I’d like to offer a special shout-out to Lucy, my General Manager and Executive Baker par excellence. Her skill, hard work, intelligence, conscience and LAUGH has changed the course and quality of The Dragonfly and, dare I say, my life. I am truly grateful she is by my side and seems to love this job as much as I do! Thank you Lucy. Thank You Dragonfliers. Thank You Customers.
Sincerely, Boss Lady E
